Elyza Whaley


Elyza Whaley is an avid swing dancer and teacher. At the age of 13, she wandered into Southside Preservation Hall and fell in love with the music and dance of swing. Since then, Elyza has traveled to Austin and Houston, TX, California, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, and many other places for swing dance contests, classes, and events. Elyza has been sharing her love for swing dance since the age of 14, teaching at Southside Preservation Hall, Nexus Family Ministries, EBB Dance Studio, and events such as the Western Swing Festival, Russell Art Farm’s Festival, Athens’s Fiddle Festival, and much more, including private events. Elyza specializes in dances such as the Charleston, Jitterbug, Collegiate Shag, Lindy Hop, and Balboa, and is regularly learning new dances to share with others.
